Senior Site Reliability Engineer

One of the most progressive unicorn startup companies in the Bay Area is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer. This is a full-time, hybrid role. The responsibilities included with this role include working with a team of engineers to build, maintain, and correct issues within the platform. The four biggest focus points of this role are AWS management, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Elastisearch. • Manage development, test, staging, and production AWS environments
• Set up and manage Kubernetes and Istio-based clusters for deploying applications
• Set up and manage other services needed by the application (AWS, ElasticSearch)
• Automate the monitoring and auto-scaling of the production environment, to support millions of connected devices

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent experience in those fields.
• Strong Linux administration experience
• 3+ years hands-on experience in AWS
• Strong troubleshooting abilities

• Terraform
• Ansible
• Kubernetes
• Microservice architecture
• Helm charts for deployment
• Exposure in deploying and managing various other technologies
• Databases like MySQL
• Apache Kafka clusters
• Redis caches
• Monitoring and Alerting using Prometheus & Grafana
