You would be responsible for the analysis, design, development, maintenance, and support of complex analytic tools such as dashboards and data visualizations that would support Transforming Tax Collections (T2C) program. In addition, the role provides technical direction, planning and guidance to development staff. You will serve as project manager, coach, and mentor when needed.Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Serves as a technical leader for a dedicated development team, providing mentorship, direction, planning, and coordination to the team members.
  • Leads design sessions; partners closely with architecture to ensure implementations follow architectural strategy
  • Owns the team code and visualization review process.
  • Acts as a point of contact for other groups on technical matters and provides support as necessary
  • Promptly escalates issues, which affect product delivery and/or quality that are beyond scope of influence
  • Perform moderate to highly complex independent research
  • Ensures technical documentation is produced and kept updated
  • Provides management with feedback on team member's performance on a regular basis
  • Designs, prototypes, and develops moderately to highly complex data analytics and visualizations
  • Codes, debugs, tests, deploys, supports and documents moderately to highly complex deliverables
  • Analyzes moderately to highly complex customer business needs and recommends and implements automated solutions to increase process automation, user experience, and launch of new products and services
  • Provides technical support during all phases of the application lifecycle
  • Incorporates security and other relevant bank and system controls into solutions and team practices
  • Contributes and adheres to bank and system software development methodologies and standards
  • Ensure team complies with all security, compliance, and audit requirements
  • Demonstrates commitment to innovation, quality, schedules and budget
  • Continues to develop and learn to keep abreast of application development technologies and practices
  • Leads technology projects and develops project management artifacts and documentation
  • Ensures secure coding, contingency, and deployment methodologies are in place for moderately to highly complex software implementations.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.
  • Serve as an escalation point for technical impediments.
  • Complete required artifacts and follow processes to implement database solutions.
  • Support vendor product evaluations, Address and resolve technical and complex database and system issues that could affect production applications.
  • Work with management and technical personnel to provide direction in the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of system applications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested
Education
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of related work experience.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) training/certification preferred.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
  • Expert knowledge of domain, regulations, procedures, and practices of AWS preferred
  • Experience with cloud database services/tools and technologies such as Redshift or Aurora
  • Expert knowledge of SQL. Postgres SQL preferred
  • Experience working with and creating visualizations/dashboards from big data
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and working in Agile teams
  • Proficient with data/Business Intelligence architecture design and development
  • Experience with data profiling, data quality reporting, and data cleansing
  • Proficient in report development and modern BI and reporting tools (Tableau, PowerBI, AWS QuickSight).
  • Experience querying and developing reporting from data warehouses and familiar with data warehouse concepts.
  • Understanding of data design and normalization as they apply to more complex problems
  • Understanding of structure vs. unstructured data storage (i.e. use cases for NoSQL, data lakes, etc.) to determine when to apply to a business problem
  • Experienced and understanding of best practices in the key areas of data management, including data governance, security, quality, and its application in projects
  • Knowledgeable in data security management and data integrity practices
  • Experience working on complex projects crossing multiple platforms and diverse technologies
  • Experience Planning, estimating, performing, and tracking work related to systems development, systems process analysis, process design or process reengineering
  • Resolve system problems and provide options to determine optimal solution
  • Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the stages of the development life cycle
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Experience in ETL design, development, and best practices
  • Preferred experience using Jira, SharePoint, ER/Studio, and Visio
Knowledge Area - Expert Level
  • Domain, regulations, procedures and practices of a specific discipline and/or business line
  • Project management experience including the ability to lead projects and project teams
  • Master in Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with data profiling, data quality reporting, and data cleansing
  • Familiarity with data architecture design and development concepts, such as data warehousing, data lakes, and modeling
  • Test driven development

Physical Demands and General Working ConditionsEmployees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls.
