RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Miami, FL that is seeking an Infra Project Manager.Summary:The Infrastructure Project Manager manages a number of large infrastructure projects in support of shore side or shipboard initiatives. These initiatives can be purely infrastructure or in support of a software development effort with complex or large infrastructure footprints. The Infra Project Manager is responsible for all aspects related to taking the projects from original concept through final deployment and contributes as a subject matter specialist in technology infrastructure implementation and light software development. This position manages vendors, Global Infrastructure Services (GIS) and other Corporate IT teams as required by the project. The Infra Project Manager participates in strategic and operational processes by working with members of the senior management team while ensuring IT initiatives achieve business goals, fostering innovation, prioritizing initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future projects. This role is responsible for managing the project scope and budget and applying a change control process to document deviations. The Infra Project Manager is also responsible for project communications to the team, IT management and business sponsor. Duties: Define project scope and objectives and develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports Conduct project meetings and produce meeting minutes and issues logs Produce risk analysis and risk mitigation plans Effectively build and manage project budgets. Manage people, work and resources as planned: examples include business analysts, application developers and testers Ensure adherence to Project Management Process, Systems Development Methodology and quality standards for producing project deliverablesREQUIREMENTS: An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field is required; Advanced degree is highly desirable, particularly an MBA PMP or PgMP certification is a plus 6+ years of overall experience in information technology infrastructure implementations; 5 to 8 years of experience in IT implementing and supporting mixed, complex environments and solutions Background in the Cruise Industry will be considered a plus Experience developing project estimates and resource plans Experience conducting project meetings and subsequently documenting/distributing meeting minutes and action item, including responsibilities for same, in a timely manner Experience progressing complex project schedules, identify and manage the project's critical path, proactively identifying and escalating risks to project's schedule, budget or quality Experience tracking project expenses, forecasting future spend, calculating estimates-at-complete and proactively advising of forecasted variances along with proposed corrective action Experience managing the participation of resources assigned to the project and holding them accountable for completing tasks in line with the effort and timeline estimates they provide - escalating issues proactively to resource's manager to mitigate impacts to project expectations Experience managing a team of resources through all phases of the systems development life cycle including the production of deliverables associated with advancing through the phases Experience managing multiple major projects simultaneously utilizing standard project management processes as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI)Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
