Precision Diagnostics, based in San Diego, California is a fast-growing clinical laboratory that specializes in providing quantitative drug testing, primarily for the purpose of helping physicians monitor their patients undergoing treatment for pain or substance abuse. Precision’s objective is to improve patient adherence/compliance with their prescription regimen and protect medical practices from liability.    The BI/ETL Developer is a position suited for an experienced professional. The BI/ETL Developer will operate within the Information Services and Technology department at Precision Diagnostics reporting to the Director of Applications & Business Intelligence in support of customer healthcare analytics needsTHE ROLE:

Establish a feedback loop between the solutions delivered and the customer to measure satisfaction & success  

Create and maintain effective, detailed design documentation 

Plan and facilitate meetings, estimate and plan project deliverables 

Be available as needed to speak with busy customers, to assess data needs/workflow short falls 

Identify and resolve data reporting issues in a timely fashion 

Perform quality assurance checks on new or enhanced reports 

Create, maintain and update business intelligence solutions, databases, dashboards, or methods, monitor and audit data quality 

Use data mining, model building, other analytical techniques to develop and maintain customer segmentation and predictive models to drive the business

Coordinate and conduct training and testing for end-users 

Identify critical areas of the data structure and recommends improvements to existing reports and reporting processes 

Act as team representative in various meetings and collaboration activities, include project planning meetings, Technical Advisory Boards, and other meetings where data solutions development expertise is required 

Performs other duties as assigned 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE: 

3+ years of experience in reporting/analytics; healthcare industry experiences a plus 

3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL, Power BI/Dax 

3+ years using BI best practices, methodologies, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, data warehouse and reporting techniques 

Proficient knowledge of UX design practices 

Familiarity and comfort with data, including the ability to use data to analyze and monitor product health, set goals and metrics, and aid in the prioritization of initiatives and features. Strong analytical and quant skills, ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive action  

The ability to interact with non-technical business customers to determine requirements and apply the business rules to the data. Experience and familiarity with various types of healthcare-related data—membership, claims, laboratory, pharmacy, authorizations, etc.—utilized in healthcare organization that take insurance risk is highly desirable

Proficiency in quantitative analysis, visualization, and modeling using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets 

Demonstrated experience in business data and analytics solution development and implementation, such as data warehouse schema development, dimensional modeling, ETL creation and troubleshooting, and SQL coding 

Ability to import, clean, transform, and model data with the purpose of translating complex information into meaningful clear conclusions for decision making purposes 

Consistently exhibit behavior and communication skills that demonstrate our commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer 

Demonstrated advanced SQL skills

ADDITIONAL JOB CONSIDERATIONS: 

This position is Full-Time

This position is currently 100% remote

Option to work on-site at Headquarters once office re-opens, no relocation assistance package

Standard hours would be 9am-5pm PST, hours may vary as needed  

Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods and working on a computer
