Maintenance Technician

This role will report to: Maintenance Manager

Hourly Rate: $18+ Per Hour, based on experience

Shift: Variable schedule includes weekends and overtime as needed.

Job Description:

Established, growing food processing company is seeking for a Maintenance Technician to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance and industrial troubleshooting. The perfect candidate must be knowledgeable of food processing equipment’s such as, conveyors; knowledge in electrical/electronics such as PLCs, A/C and D/C motors and drives, control logic, schematics and troubleshooting; CMMS and continuous improvements initiatives. The right candidate must be highly motivated with excellent maintenance skills who can add technical capabilities and add value to our Maintenance Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate high level of safety focus and awareness via maintenance actions and support within the facility.

Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to address and resolve equipment and manufacturing systems obstacles and mechanical/electrical issues.

Utilize technical skills and knowledge in electrical/electronics (PLCs, A/C and D/C motors and drives, control logic, schematics and troubleshooting) to support continuous process manufacturing and achieve machine uptime metrics.

Troubleshoot problems and eliminate manufacturing constraints.

Establish positive rapport and provide proactive customer service to the operation team.

Maintain spare parts and document preventative maintenance activities.

Responsible for observing and following safety regulations and GMPs.

Required Qualifications:

3-5 years of previous experience in maintenance as an Electrician or Mechanic working with electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment in a manufacturing facility preferred in a food processing environment.

Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.

Knowledge and practical applications experience in electrical/electronics, PLCs, A/C and D/C motors, drives and controls.

Knowledge of the National Electrical Code

Knowledge of CMMS

Comprehensive knowledge of refrigeration and pneumatics troubleshooting and repair.

Must have skills and abilities to work independently performing maintenance and repairs on facility and manufacturing equipment’s

Good communications skills and team player

High school diploma or equivalent

Must be able to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime as required.

Must be able to lift/carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work in refrigerated and wet environment.

Must be able to communicate effectively in English and/or Spanish

Compensation: Competitive Salary based on experience
