PURPOSE:The Analyst, ERP Business (GRC) is responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of the corporate governance, risk and compliance (GRC) software platform.The Analyst will assist the GRC Program with the administration, integration and maintenance of CareFirst’s GRC Software Platform. This position will support the Compliance & Ethics Department in maintaining, updating, and improving the CareFirst Corporate Compliance Filing Program, as well as assist the Compliance & Ethics Department with Data Reporting, Configuration, Analytics, and Dashboarding, and provides support for its users as necessary. The Analyst also assists the GRC Program team with the coordination and/or facilitation of meetings supporting projects (i.e. Kickoff, Business Requirements, Proof of Concept, Trainings, etc.) as well as the provision of specific guidance and direction to various internal business stakeholders. On an ongoing basis, the Analyst will oversee work and maintain content integrity of the GRC software.The Analyst will provide hands on support for the GRC software platform and the Corporate Filing Program. This complex role is customer focused, analytical, technical and requires strong relationship development and communication skills.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:Under the general direction of the Manager, GRC Program, the essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs as the day to day maintenance of the GRC software platform for the Corporate Filings Module
  • Responsible for ongoing day to day routine maintenance of the Corporate Filings Module including but not limited to:
    • Assists with user access and report requests, questions, single sign on issues, etc.
    • Schedules user training, including training for new/upgraded system modules.
    • Monitoring and governance of fling verifications.
    • Assists with testing and reviewing workflows, monitors user feedback and addresses user questions.
    • Navigates all aspects of the application; and
    • Proactively identifies future opportunities and enhancements to the Corporate Filings Program and application.

Operational Governance Oversight, and Advisory Support
  • Provide advisory support in the identification of control improvement and governance opportunities.
  • Maintain documentation for governance and re-performance ability by leveraging the corporate GRC software solution.
  • Continuously analyze and align all functional area corporate filings and ensure they are in compliance and alignment with regulations, contractual commitments and mandates remain updated and current.
  • Review complex corporate filings to identify, document, and elevate the presence of risks and controls, both manual and automated, and/or management controls in each functional area to mitigate any risk or exposure.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of the GRC Software solution. In collaboration with business owners design and implement ad hoc and production analyses in support of corporate programs and projects.
  • Assists in the diagnosis and resolution of problems and works with the GRC software vendor to implement solutions. Test/validate changes to correct or enhance systems. Work with Subject Matter Resources in interacting with customers, (internal & external including vendors). Assist in eliciting, reviewing, analyzing, interpreting and documenting requirements for business/system needs.
  • Perform business and technical designer functions, including contributing to both the business and technical architecture components; supporting functional area business process specialists and experts; and supporting architecture, product and technology specialists and experts.
  • Regularly involved in extracting data from the GRC Software solution and developing front end presentation and dashboarding. Work with GRC vendor and internal stakeholders to isolate and solve design problems or data anomalies encountered during testing and implementation stages.
  • Assist in the creation of test cases to validate changes made to correct or enhance the GRC Software Solution. Serve as Subject Matter Resources in customer interaction (internal & external).

Implementation of the GRC Process and Software application
  • Responsible for gaining the ability to navigate the GRC software application along with a full understanding of the objectives of the GRC Program, the Corporate Filings Program and software application – as well as communicating those objectives and requirements.
  • Assists in the analysis of existing workflows as well as the implementation of new workflows.
  • Assists with coordination of compliance related Corporate Filing review and maintenance process with the applicable business units.
  • Responsible for developing and delivering ad-hoc reports with analysis on a regular basis, or as requested.
  • Day to day maintenance of application content along with associated documentation.
  • Develop training materials and provide guidance and direction to all associate users for general use of the application; and
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Supports Vendor Relationships
  • With guidance and direction from the Manager, GRC Program:
    • Collaborates with the vendor for initializing any subsequent software system upgrades, new application modules or new software solutions.
    • Ensures appropriate product-related training and documentation are made available to end users.
    • and Communicates technical and business problems clearly and in a concise manner to achieve resolution.
    • Various duties as assigned relating to the continued design, development, implementation documentation, support, and growth of the GRC platform and the Corporate Filings Program.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of study or equivalent work experience OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a business analyst type environment and experience in complex / analytical regulatory healthcare insurance compliance.
  • Experience and working knowledge of Corporate Compliance, Audit, Legal, Privacy or Information Security.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with GRC, audit, compliance or other Business Intelligence (BI) based software.
  • Knowledge of organization and operations of the business areas being supported.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant area of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Compliance, Project Management or IT Certifications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Experience in business process analysis, workflow, and task analysis.
  • Project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing initiatives and see projects through successful implementation.
  • Ability to clearly communicate Information Security and IT related matters to end users to convey critical information.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data and reports.
  • Knowledge of local systems and experience with hardware and software required in order to understand how they interface with the compliance regulatory software application.
  • Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time. Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence.Must maintain the confidentiality of information and user information appropriately, using considerable judgment, tact, initiative, accuracy, trustworthiness and integrity.
