Job Title: Warranty Specialist III

Introduction:The Warranty Specialist role is separated into two segments to manage warranty support. WS works across various internal business units, as well as managing warranty support directly to external customers. The role is to support continuous growth and drive efficiencies within the warranty strategy, as well as maintain parts revenue stream for warranty activity. The WS works with members of Development, Manufacturing, Service and Finance to provide operational performance, ad hoc analysis and special bidding to assist with growing the TOSHIBA Global Commerce Solutions business. The role also supports the service delivery and part sale requirements directly to TOSHIBA channel customers and Warranty Self Maintainer (WSM) program (external customers). Role works with various internal business units to support warranty objectives for Standard TOSHIBA HW Warranty and Special Bid Warranties. Manages all TOSHIBA Global Warranty Terms and Conditions. Woks with Development and Service organization as a resource to ensure Toshiba HW is properly maintained and supported within warranty period. Works with Customer Executive team and Sales team to assist in developing warranty offerings for large complex customer opportunities. Ensures appropriate IT systems support is meet for all aspects of the warranty operations objectives. Works with other TOSHIBA Corporate organizations (development, sales/marketing, legal, distribution and finance/accounting) to ensure all Toshiba warranty objectives are met. Role will manage specific customer accounts to deliver warranty support for quality issues, warranty repair claims and/or part sale order and fulfillment, and ensure tools and resources are available to properly maintain their TOSHIBA hardware while under warranty. These major customers, such as Safeway, CVS, Ahold, submit warranty part claims, place seed stock and replenishment orders. This role is a customer facing, which is responsible for the E2E parts fulfillment. As well as bringing quality issues back into development team on behalf of WSM and channel customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage global warranty operational budgets by controlling spending and implementation of warranty savings opportunities.
  • Maintain relationship with Toshiba Business Partners (for channel customer warranty), WSM Toshiba Customers (CVS, Safeway) and internal Service Operations
  • Maintain and update Toshiba's Warranty Terms and Conditions to ensure they support sales strategy/objectives • Lead/develop programs for efficient and effective warranty service delivery and special warranty bids across all service channels.
  • Set up Authorized Warranty Service Providers (AWSPs) to support efficient warranty cost structure and white space areas Service Organization does not support
  • Lead development of IT systems to support both customer service and internal tracking matrixes.
  • Generate price part quote, ensure parts availability, place order onto specific manufacturing sites, and ensure customer part fulfilled for Channel and WSMs
  • Use web tools, spreadsheets and host systems to execute and control parts sales program, ensuring 100% accuracy

Required Skills:
  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • 8+ years of Warranty Analysis experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including familiarity with macros and pivot tables.
  • Strong Microsoft Powerpoint and Word skills
  • Supply Chain Knowledge
  • Oracle or SAP knowledge
  • Excellent presentation/written/verbal communications skills
  • Self starter, adept at learning new things and ability to work without regular supervision
  • Manage complex projects
