Housekeeping - Environmental Services (Des Moines)

Brilliant Solutions LLC. provides Janitorial/Custodial staffing within two large hospitals in Des Moines, and West Des Moines. These are not temporary positions.

We have immediate full-time opportunities in the Housekeeping - Environmental Services Department. 1st shift working from 7:00AM to 3:30PM, 2nd shift working from 3:00PM to 11:30PM and 3rd shift working from 10:30PM to 7:00AM. All shifts are scheduled 80 hours per bi-weekly pay cycle. All positions require working every other weekend, with every other weekend off. If you choose to work overtime, you will be paid time and a half for every hour over 80 hours per pay cycle.

As an Environmental Services Housekeeper you will spend your day performing routine housekeeping tasks throughout the hospital. Your work is essential in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for patients, staff and visitors, you will be appreciated. We provide comprehensive paid training, helping to ensure your success. You will learn and follow hospital guidelines and procedures. We will provide you with uniforms, and all the tools and equipment needed to be successful in your new position.

Qualifications:

Reliable with a strong work ethic

Able to work professionally with patients, visitors and teammates

Able to lift 50 pounds and maneuver heavy wheeled items

Able to stoop, bend, kneel and stand for long periods

Able to read, comprehend and communicate in English

Conditions for employment:

Janitorial/Housekeeping experience, 1 year (Required)

High School graduate or GED equivalent (Preferred)

Must be at least 18 years old and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Must pass an employer paid Tuberculosis test and receive flu shot (when in season)

Subject to an acceptable pre-employment background check
