IT Support Specialist

This is a permanent full time/direct hire role located in Providence, RI.Candidates must have strong customer facing skills and MAC and Windows troubleshooting experience,We are looking for an experienced IT support specialist with a minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting business computing environments. The successful candidate will be able to implement, configure, support, and maintain desktop and server networks. We work in a mix of both on-site and remote-access scenarios to ensure our customers' systems are working efficiently and reliably.

• Minimum 5 years' experience working in an IT technical support role.
• Strong customer service/customer facing(in person) and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Ability to install, configure, manage, and maintain desktop and server environments and their associated network technologies.
• Willingness to expand and maintain your knowledge base to stay current with new technologies.
• Organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

• Business networking skills with a comprehensive understanding of LAN, WAN, and WLAN connectivity including switching, routing.
• Strong skills related to
  MAC and Windows desktop and server environments and infrastructure. Skill with Apple desktop and server environments is also desirable.
• Microsoft apps (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong Active Directory and Group Policy management skills.
• Skilled with cloud computing services such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, or Google Workspace.

• Skills in implementing and managing MDM solutions.
• RMM and PSA tools used for monitoring customer systems, ticket management, and configuration documentation.

• Able to occasionally work outside normal business hours as needed to support our clients.
• Ability to be “on-call” on a rotating basis to support clients outside normal business hours.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and be able to work in a variety of environments such as education, medical, and commercial businesses.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
