OverviewThe Behavioral Health Associate Director (BH-AD) provides operational support and clinical guidance to Behavioral Health Advance Practice Providers (BH-APPs) within their assigned Landmark markets. This position is responsible for promoting the quality of behavioral health at Landmark Health through regular consultation with BH-APPs, ride a-longs and review of documentation.Responsibilities

Assist Chief Behavioral Health Officer and Executive Director of Behavioral Health and Social Work with strategy, process development, and implementation of the Behavioral Health program and corporate initiatives.

Assist with monitoring the implementation of standards for Behavioral Health practice, including measuring productivity, quality standards, and outcomes

Participate in the development and delivery of monthly All Behavioral Health call meeting content

Review BH-APP documentation and address any quality of care issues

Respond to requests for consultation by BH-APPs from assigned Landmark markets

Assist with development and delivery of in-service trainings for the Behavioral Health team as well as orientation and education of a BH-APP on an individual basis as needed

Review and monitor referrals tasked and accepted by BH-APPs to ensure an equitable workload; and provide feedback to market leadership when concerns are identified

Participate in the resolution of conflicts involving BH-APPs from assigned Landmark markets

Meet and confer periodically via telephone or in person, with market leadership regarding local BH-APP needs

Attend and participate in contracted health plan IDT, Clinical Operations, Joint Operation Committees and other operational meetings as requested/required

Participate in interviewing, hiring, evaluating and disciplining of BH-APP staff for assigned Landmark markets

Participate in the development of policies, procedures and guidance documents for Behavioral Health staff

Travel to markets in assigned region at least on a semi-annual basis, or as needed

May provide interim coverage for BH-APPs in assigned markets, as needed

Qualifications

NP or PA currently licensed to practice in Psychiatry without restriction in the state of practice and has met or exceeded all the credentialing requirements of a provider within the provider panel

Maintains Professional Licensure, DEA and relevant board certifications

Psychiatric CAQ certified (PA) or eligible, PMHNP certification required (NP)

Current in the knowledge of Psychiatric practice, utilization management, quality management, managed care principals and new clinical developments and technologies

Has proven experience in leading teams of mid-level providers in delivering high quality, cost effective care

Ability to analyze staffing needs sufficient to care for the patient panel

Experience in coaching members of the health care team to provide excellent care or, if needed, determine deficiencies in care and formulate a plan for improvement and/or corrective action
