Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineer in the (Greater) Atlanta area.Summary:In this role, the Software Engineer will apply the principles of Data Development to the Design, Development, Testing, and Evaluation of the data involved for product requirements. Designs, The Software Engineer develops and tests data development code for use in the Insurance industry, and will also assist, Manage and Support with Azure Cloud Journey and Transformation.REQUIREMENTS: BS/MS degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent field required 8-10 years of Software Engineering experience Developing Software (with Master's, only 5 years of experience needed); Specifically, experience working with data manipulation 5-8+ years of experience with one of the programming languages using C, C, Java, C# 5-8+ years of experience with RDBMS (SQL, Oracle, etc.) 3+ years of experience with scripting languages like Python 3+ years of experience with source control and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab/GitHub Mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue Expertise with UNIX, Shell Scripting Expertise with DevOps Methodologies Familiar with Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform Technologies Familiar with migrating applications to a Azure cloud environment Familiar with Azure DevOps, Terraform and AKS (Azure Kubernetes Services) Familiar with HashiCorp Vault and HashiCorp Terraform Background in Data Engineering development technologies & experience with cloud-based resources Knowledge of Software Development Methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) Proficiency with Data Manipulation Language including optimization techniques Understanding of Normalized/Dimensional data modeling principles Knowledge in industry best practices in Software DevelopmentKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
