Join us and make a difference.Summary:Within the Product Development (PD) division, the Product Development Operations (PDO) department brings together strategic business operations, external engagement, global network strategy, and learning and compliance with the vision of simplifying how PD runs the business. The business operations manager will report into the Strategic Business Operations (SBO) group within PDO. The SBO group is responsible for delivering strategic value to PD by leading and delivering the PD strategy and driving operational effectiveness. The responsibilities of the successful candidate falls into the following categories:

Oversee the management of PD headcount to simplify and improve reporting of headcount, turnover information, requisition status, and on-boarding for senior leader consumption.

Assist in developing and deploying A3 and annual PD objectives to accelerate the execution of the GPS Strategy. Ability to engage with senior leaders as scope includes assisting in objective setting exercises, tracking progress against objectives, and recording metrics.

Partner with operations leads in the PD functional areas to collect, format and interpret data and information for CMC benchmarking exercises.

Work directly with external and internal benchmarking agencies to exchange data and information.

Serve as project manager and /or participate, as needed, in any initiatives that are identified in PD annual objectives and/or strategic initiatives. Key skills include the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and build consensus among cross-functional teams.

Provide departmental business operations support for the head of PD Operations (track objectives, facilitate staff meetings, create/maintain SharePoint sites amongst other activities). Experience/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant scientific discipline with >5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or related industry. Advanced degree or MBA a plus.

Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence, negotiate, and drive organizational engagement.

Capable of bringing structure to vaguely defined problems while using creative yet pragmatic problem-solving approaches and execution management

Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Strong presentation, facilitation, and executive-level messaging skills

Ability to build relationships and influence, and drive organizational engagement

Strong ability to ensure connectivity across multiple functions within a site and with the enterprise

Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

Project management experience with the ability to develop clear action plans and drive execution to meet timelines and deliver on commitments.
