Cardinal Health’s Medical Segment supplies medical-surgical products to ambulatory care centers, physician offices, clinical laboratories and hospitals across the U.S. and Canada. This segment also includes manufacturing of high-volume, replenishable products such as gloves, gowns, surgical drapes, scrubs and fluid management products. In addition, the Medical Segment includes Cardinal Health’s surgical and procedural kitting operations that assemble all necessary surgical tools and apparel for specific procedures into one kit, allowing clinicians to focus on the patient.The Regional Director of Sales, OR (Operating Room) Specialist is responsible for leading a team of OR sales specialists in Texas who are tasked to drive revenue and profitability in the segment. They accomplish this through products, solutions and clinical insights. Collaboration and people leadership are key attributes required for success in this role. This leader will direct a team of roughly nine and closely collaborate with other OR regional sales directors who each lead a team of similar size and aligned goals.Accountabilities in this role

Manage Operating Room Specialists to drive product and services growth and product mix in the Acute channel

Identify new product and services customers within assigned territory

Coordinate and support Operating Room Specialists meet or exceed account expectations (through coaching, ride-alongs, etc.)

Build and maintain long-term trusted advisor relationships with key decision makers and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty

Conduct performance evaluations of Operating Room Specialists and provide them ongoing coaching (e.g., setting account strategies, selling product and services)

Support Operating Room Specialists in driving product mix

Hunt for new product and services customers within assigned territory

Full region P&L responsibility

Performs other job-related duties as requested to ensure sales goals and objectives are met

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred

Demonstrate advance knowledge of region and customer industry (e.g., key competitors, technology, terminology, regulations)

Demonstrate previous strong leadership and management skills

Ability to retain customers and ensure high customer satisfaction rating

Ability to motivate and manage a geographically dispersed labor force and develop talent

Ability to hunt for new opportunities

6-10 years healthcare sales experience

Ability to travel 35% of time

Excellent planning, forecasting, negotiation and presentation skills

Assists in the development of functional strategy
