Job Description

Responsibilities

The Production / Procurement Manager will be responsible for the Company’s BlueToad manufacturing needs. The position reports to the Accounting Manager.

The job functions will include, but not limited to following:

Procurement

  • Prime vendor relationship contacts
  • Purchase longer lead time items to forecast and shorter lead time items from orders received based upon the SKUBill of Materials
  • Develop Production planning schedules as fulfillment pipelines are reviewed
  • Visit assembly locations periodically
  • Update Bill of Materials (BOM) for all form factors
  • Vendor negotiations to insure purchase of products at lowest cost available

Product Assembly

  • Work with Company and contract assembly contacts to prioritize BT order production
  • Document product receipts at assembler locations
  • Approve contract assembly invoices
  • Generate cost accounting journal entries

Production Software

  • Input Sales Orders into the Plan of Record / ERP software
  • Keep Purchase Order log current
  • Maintain inventory tracking at various locations
  • Keep detailed project logs for all builds
  • Enter product shipments into software and sales orders into QuickBooks

Contract Administration

  • Ensure Public Sector customers are billed for BlueArgus softwareand cellular renewals

Other

  • Assist with other projects as assigned by Accounting Manager or Sr Executive Team
  • Lead the transition of the current spreadsheet-based systems to an ERP system

Qualifications

Required

  • 3-7 years of experience in Production Planning and/or Procurement
  • Advanced MS Office and Excel skills
  • Microsoft Project or GANTT Chart Tools experience helpful, but not required
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment
