Job Description

We are on the hunt for a challenge-seeking, skilled, and reliable IT and Operations Support Specialist to join our fast-paced Information Technology department. This vital role will provide IT support by quickly responding to IT challenges and providing timely, solutions-based answers while trouble shooting issues on various systems. In addition, the role will provide direct support to our growing locations while managing vendor relationships and providing guidance on equipment installation and maintenance. The IT Support Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking assistance over the phone, chat, email or in-person, so multi-tasking skills are a must. You will respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems, and then determine and implement solutions.

The goal of the IT Support Specialist is to be a valuable resource for our employees that will help preserve, build, and maintain our business relationships by prioritizing and exceeding IT needs.

What

you'll do:

  • Provide technical and facility assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to the buildings or computers
  • Respond to queries via phone, chat, email and in-person
  • Help create and update training documents
  • Train end users on various computer software applications and hardware configurations
  • Respond to help request messages in a timely manner, while prioritizing workload and requests
  • Use problem solving skills and ask questions to determine the root of each problem.
  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems
  • Provide employees with support and guidance on maintaining their equipment
  • Develop a follow up process to ensure the issue has been resolved
  • Gain feedback from employees about their process and recommend changes as appropriate
  • Run audit reports to determine preventative maintenance needs
  • Build relationships with vendors by reviewing and maintaining contracts and contacts
  • Perform light maintenance on facilities when needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification required
  • A minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a similar role
  • Administrative experience with Microsoft 365 and Outlook
  • Comfortable in a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Solid experience with customer service and support
  • Ability to work at an expert level with computer equipment and hardware tools
  • Extremely organized with good communication skills
  • Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving
