The Billing/Office Assistant must have experience in human resources management including hiring practices, termination requirements, record keeping rules, and staff development. In addition to knowledge of computer systems, data management and archiving rules, applicant must have proficiency at the intermediate level of computer skills: these include (1) keyboarding speed of at least 50 words per minute (2) ability to use Excel spreadsheets, databases, word processing, email communications, and internet navigation procedures. three months of insurance claims and computerized billing experience, including web-based data entry and transmissions and knowledge of billing terminologies and procedures (EVS, AP, AR, etc).

Finally, the successful candidate must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, and a willingness to work in a team environment. The position also requires strong verbal skill to handle communications with supervisors and field employees. Previous experience in home care operations preferred but not necessary.
