Find your future with us.In Boeing's Maritime Undersea group our engineers design, build, test, deploy, operate, and maintain a wide variety of mission critical platforms and systems for commercial and government customers. We are looking for highly motivated Systems Engineering to support capture, documentation, and management of technical manuals, configuration instructions, and operations / maintenance instructions supporting program across our diverse portfolio. In this key role you will work with program team engineers (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Software, and Production) supporting the design, assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of system components. Our programs teams rely on Systems Engineers that function in as an integrated part of our agile teams and contribute across the entire product lifecycle. This position is located in Herndon VA or Huntington Beach Ca.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all aspects of systems engineering for current and future phases of program with design, qualification, and eventually production (Full Lifecycle)
  • Partner with subject matter experts and technology experts in understanding technology development and integration into current state and future goals for increased functionality, performance, testability, verification and validation
  • Interface with program management/leadership for systems engineering and integration and test team
  • Implement best practices throughout all facts of systems engineering and integration and test understanding intent and need to ensure successful product development and production
  • Actively participate in mentoring program for systems engineers to learn cross functional skills in systems engineering
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
  • Career experience in systems engineering, systems integration, and/or software engineering
  • Experience with Cameo MBSE tool suite
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
  • 3 or more years' work related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience leading test and evaluation programs
  • Familiarity with material handling and safety standards compliance
Typical Education and Experience: ( Lead Level 4)Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 ormore years' experience in an engineering classification.Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.(Senior Level 5)Bachelor's degree typically 14 or more years' experience in an engineeringclassification or a Master's degree with typically 12 ormore years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification.Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course ofstudy, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.(Principle Level 6)Bachelor's degree and typically 20 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 18 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 15 or more years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate ofScience degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
