Electronic Technician – Work-to-Hire (Roanoke, VA)

Major manufacturer in Roanoke needs Electronic Technician is a position focused on testing printed circuit board assemblies and repair. The Electronic Technician will also perform bench work testing resisters, performing PC repairs and minor electrical hardware repairs. Mon-Friday 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM and Friday 6 AM -10 AM. Mon-Friday (some weekends), $16.00-$20.00/hour DOE. Great company with excellent benefits.

Candidates’ responsibilities include the following:

Must have experience programming devices and components using equipment such as MPLAB’s ICD3.

Possess a thorough understanding of test equipment such as: multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and

function generators.

Able to read and interpret schematics, engineering documents, and BOM’s.

Must have a working knowledge of how transistors, resistors, capacitors, and inductors operate in circuits.

Must have experience troubleshooting electronic devices to component level by sectionalizing, localizing and

isolating defects.

Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components.

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Knowledge of how to use basic hand tools.

Working knowledge of basic hand tools.

Effective written and oral communicator.

Must be able to manage time effectively

Requirements: Good work, attendance, safety record, pas same day drug test, have clear background report, neat/clean work appearance.
