Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is looking for a Mid-Level System Engineers - Wisk Avionics to support the Wisk Joint Venture Program. A new Joint Venture between Boeing and Wisk to develop Avionics products for the Wisk Gen 6 Program. Individual will work collaboratively with the joint team located in: Long Beach, CA, El Segundo, CA, Huntington Beach, CA, Arlington, VA, Huntsville, AL, Mountain View, CA, Plano, TX, San Antonio, TX, New Orleans, LA, Ridley Park, PA, North Charleston, SC, Oklahoma City, OK, Berkeley, MO, Titusville, FL, or Mesa, AZ. This exciting system engineering position will work on an innovative program developing the next-generation technologies in aerospace. The ideal candidate is passionate about avionics and aerospace and excited to work in a multi-disciplined, collaborative engineering environment to design, develop and implement avionics products on a fast-paced team environment that crosses company boundaries and cultures. Note: There will be a travel expectation of up to 20% on an as-needed basisPosition Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain requirements for eVTOL aircraft
- Develop use cases and sequence diagrams
- Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for complex aircraft and ground architectures
- Analyze, verify, and validate performance of hardware and software components
- Support planning for and execution of subsystem and vehicle-level integration and test campaign
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment to develop system architecture in compliance with interface definitions and system/subsystem requirements
- Support stakeholder needs through analysis, technical performance measures (TPM) definition, requirements analysis, and allocation & definition for subcontractors, utilizing Cameo, JIRA and Confluence
- Develop requirements verification plan, including coordination of required tests for space systems
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 3+ years of Systems Engineering experience on aircraft avionics equipment or similar highly regulated products
- Experience with requirements development, verification, validation, ICDs, risk, issues and opportunities management and/or trade studies
- Expertise in flight management or flight control avionics equipment for commercial or military aircraft.
- Experience in development, build and test of aircraft avionics
- Experience working across multiple disciplines in a rapid development environment
- Experience applying Systems Engineering principals and Systems Integration in the Aerospace industry
- Experience in Commercial Aircraft Certification
- Model Based Systems Engineering and Model Based Engineering application and toolsets (such as MATLAB Simulink, SCADE, Cameo, Rhapsody, etc.)
- Experience with Agile methodologies
