ReStore Donation Ambassador/Sales Associate

Reports to: Store Management

Description: This position provides support and leadership to Restore Volunteers Includes safe driving of vehicle and pick up of merchandise from donors, safely packing truck for transport to Restore.

Employee Status: Hourly at 25 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

1. General Duties

Load and unload donated materials and assist with loading customer purchases

Screen donations for usability

Communicate with ReStore management regarding incoming donations

Work alongside and coaching volunteers, helping create a meaningful & safe volunteer experience.

Maintain an effective working relationship with ReStore staff, volunteers, Habitat homeowners, and ReStore customers

Operate warehouse and moving equipment.

2. Other Duties as Assigned by the ReStore Manager’s

Donation Preparation

Donation acceptance

Pricing adherence according to Restore Policy

Cashiering Duties

Customer Service

Merchandise Management

3. Maintaining Facility Appearance

Cleaning and upkeep

Safety

Performing Recycle procedure

4. Required Skills/Experience

Knowledge and Experience in Retail Sales

Team building a plus

Strong interpersonal Communication skills

Must pass a Criminal Background and Sex Offender Check

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Ability to spend majority of the day standing or moving about ReStore. Work may require climbing ladders, considerable standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and reaching in awkward and tiring positions.

High school diploma or equivalent

Must have drivers license and a clean driving record
