Implements and maintains smooth operation and physical design of databases.

Conducts performance tuning of indexes and databases in general.

Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.

Maintains security and integrity controls.

Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization.

May develop stored procedures and/or triggers.

Minimum Qualifications

6 Years relevant experience with Bachelors; 4 Years relevant experience with Masters; An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement for this job.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science.

The position must have a minimum of six (6) years of relevant hands-on experience in platform and data migration

Experience in developing and analyzing requirements for data migration tasks, including cut over planning and user migration.

Experience in data migration from unstructured data to structure data and vice versa

Experience in data migration of large datasets to and from unstructured databases.

Experience in document management tools including OpenText – OCR, ICR, IDR

Experience in working with technical system integrator to identify and fix data issues and resolve anomalies.

Experience in performing quality assurance checks to verify the accuracy of data loading, manipulation, and conversion.

Experience in data archival strategy, data consolidation, and data transformation.

A good understanding tools like Captiva, XML, JSON, MarkLogic Databases and XSLT scripting and compatible tools that deal with files in those formats.

Preferred Requirements

Should be able to provide recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific mission-critical challenges/issues
