Production LeadSUMMARY: The Bread production team leader is responsible for the performance of the line in the following areas: Production and Packing. The Team Leader ensures that the line is running safely and meeting all production targets. The Team Leader keeps production on schedule and handles changes and challenges. The Team Leader also makes line decisions when the Supervisor is unavailable and backs up the production aspects of the Supervisor position for days off, vacations and illness.MAIN DUTIES/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct shift hand off with other Team Leads at both ends of the shift to discuss production changes and which tasks still need to be completed

Work with Quality to ensure Pre-op for line is done and line is ready to be released for production

Check schedules for production changes

Conducts Head Count to make sure all scheduled are present.

Provides work direction to the teams on the shift.

Use the computer to access information and checklists; fill out various forms as well as enter data into the computer: ( Word, Excel, E-mail ), able to read, write, speak English

Order ingredients, boxes and other materials.

Prepare unused ingredients and material for return Warehouse.

Schedule and relieve Line Workers and Machine Operators for rotations, breaks and lunch

Ensure line is operating at speed specified by playbook.

Prepare Case labels and ingredient labels for products and ingredients being ran.

Act as liaison with other departments - Quality Control; Maintenance; Sanitation; Shipping & Receiving; Safety

Ensure area is clean during and at the end of the shift

Pellet Jack and Forklift Certification required.

LOTO Authorized required.

Ensure all necessary Training is completed for employees reporting to shift.

Ability to set up line and operate machinery in area of responsibility
