This Sales position will be responsible for creating, developing and driving sales within the following target markets: Produce re-packers, Food Processors and Distribution Accounts.In addition to serving as a business development partner, incumbent will build customer relationships, handle customer complaints and inquiries, and effectively communicate with all appropriate internal departments/personnel.Your career path has many avenues available for you to succeed. Promote new products within existing customer base
Cold Call new accounts
Increase current product penetration within current customers
Sell into existing accounts value added products: Custom Print packaging, industrial bags, high end Flexible Packaging, Clamshells, corrugated, packaging machinery, Labels, RPC Labels , soaker pads, stretch wrap, etc
Take all “walk in” customers, answer questions and evaluate opportunities
Provide timely and accurate sales forecast to operational team to ensure inventory levels are up to date
Evaluate pricing every quarter to ensure and protect margins
Participate in Industry Association Functions
Work with management to develop independent distributor and sales representative relationships
Identify public relations opportunities
Work with management to develop marketing communications including marketing collateral, promotional items, direct mail and the web sites
Assist in the development of new designs and projects
Work with outside vendors on new materials and new innovative packaging solutions with regards to produce packaging
Assist in continued product improvement
Attend industry trade shows and promote new and existing products
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Professional Selling, Marketing or Business a plus
Must have 5+ years of outside sales experience in at least one of the following markets: food processing, produce packaging, produce re-packers, custom print packaging, industrial bags, corrugated, flexible packaging, clamshells
Required to work independently, with minimal supervision
Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of employees, managers and outside parties
Exceptional analytical, organizational and oral/written communication skills
Ability to utilize acceptable mathematical skills
Demonstrate a friendly and professional experience
Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel required
Significant travel is required; sometimes with overnight stays
Bilingual will be a plus English - Spanish
