The Adrenal Tumors team at MD Anderson Cancer Center actively studies molecular features of adrenal tumors and runs multiple novel clinical trials to identify new treatment options for patients with advanced adrenal malignancies. We have multiple clinical trials and translational projects conducted within MD Anderson, as well as collaborations with other centers nationally and internationally.LEARNING OBJECTIVESWe are seeking applicants for a post-doctorate position in the area of adrenal tumors. The fellow will extract and analyze clinical data and correlate the data on translational projects when applicable. The fellow will also be supporting and participating in educational activities and research seminars to gain more in-depth experience related to adrenocortical tumors. There is an expectation to collaborate with existing laboratory and translational findings to help to collect and analyze biospecimens via different techniques, including immunohistochemistry and gene sequencing, and work in consultation with in-house computational scientists and biostatisticians. The fellow will develop a new independent project that will extend the studies into clinically relevant and fundable areas. The fellow is expected to write and prepare research presentations, manuscripts, and grant proposals.ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSThe applicant must have an MD degree or Ph.D. degree. Reasonable competency is required in clinical data extraction, database building, and preparation of presentations and clinical papers. The utilization of statistical software is highly favored.
