Our technology, such as the "Smart" electronic exam, enables us to supply data to our insurance customers in a quick and accurate manner. As we continue to grow and lead the industry, we are looking to add dedicated medical professionals our team in Western Pennsylvania.

We are seeking skilled medical professionals: nurses including Registered Nurses (RN's) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN's), Medical Assistants and Phlebotomists, to join our Pittsburgh team of mobile insurance examiners as Independent Contractors.

Our examiners have flexible working hours, but need to be disciplined, focused and organized to be successful. Attention to detail is a key skill needed due to the specific nature of the medical requirements we complete, as well as the confidentiality of the information we obtain.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in phlebotomy, with a minimum of two years of recent experience. Since we see healthy insurance applicants in their homes or places of employment on a daily basis, the candidate should enjoy meeting new people and have reliable transportation. Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses (RN's and LPN's), Medical Assistants (MA's), and Phlebotomists complete in-home assessments for insurance applicants including:

-Obtaining a detailed medical history, on paper or electronically

-Accurately completing legal documents that are part of an insurance application

-Obtaining physical measurements: height, weight, blood pressure, pulse

-Drawing blood (venipuncture), collecting urine specimens and preparing for shipment to lab

-Completion of resting EKG's.

Qualifications:

-Minimum of two years current phlebotomy experience, Nurse or Medical Assistant is a plus

-Must present phlebotomy certification or nursing license

-Must present current driver's license and proof of auto insurance

-Ability to take blood pressure readings

-Familiarity with medical terminology

-Excellent communication skills, tact, professionalism and courtesy needed

Equipment Needed:

-Access to home computer with printer and capability to fax or scan documents securely

-Availability of a tablet such as Galaxy Tablet or iPad, with hotspot and unlimited data

-Blood pressure cuffs (standard and large) and Stethoscope

-Centrifuge (available from Amazon)

-Scale

This is an Independent Contractor position. The work is steady, with busier times in the Spring and Fall. This is a great opportunity to earn extra income to help meet your family's financial needs without committing to a full time position.
