Veterinary Assistant (Mount Vernon)

Mountain View Veterinary Clinic is a busy one doctor practice that performs both exotic and small animal medicine. We have a well rounded team of staff members that provide the best medicine possible to our patients. We practice at the highest standards in the industry by following AAHA guidelines. We also strive to foster a fun, family based atmosphere where clients and pets come first. We practice Fear Free techniques when treating patients by pushing positive reinforcement through treats and pheromone sprays.

What We Need:

We are looking for a top-notch Veterinary Assistant to be responsible for assisting our doctors in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgery, including in-patient and out-patient care, technician examinations, laboratory duties, treatments, drug dosages and dispensing, medical record notation and maintenance, administrative duties, inventory, OSHA awareness and compliance, extraordinary customer service and maintaining a practical knowledge of the hospitals procedures, services and policies.

What it Takes:

Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

Strong commitment to teamwork

Two years or more experience in a clinical setting is desired.

Candidates must be willing to work rotating Saturdays and some closing shifts.

Full time employees are eligible for health insurance after 90 days which includes vision and dental coverage.

Full time employees are eligible to accrue up to two weeks of paid vacation.
