PLANS EXAMINER / BUILDING INSPECTOR - A variety of field and office work!

THE POSITION: The individual in this position reviews construction plans and performs field inspections ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, ordinances and policies.

$20.56 to $22.67 per hour depending on experience

ICC Residential Building Inspector certifications sponsored by the employer

DO YOU QUALIFY?

Do you have a Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field

OR do you have a high school diploma/GED and an Associate’s Degree in Building Inspection, Engineering, Architectural Drafting or related field and a minimum of 2 years related experience?

Do you possess or have the ability to possess a driver’s license and be insurable?

Do you possess or have the ability to possess related ICC Residential Building Inspector certifications?

Do you have a working knowledge of Building, Mechanical, Energy, and Fire Codes; state housing laws, local zoning ordinances and health and safety codes; construction plans, materials, methods and safety standards?
