Job Description
As the Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits) Analyst, you will be the primary builder of compensation programs that properly and fairly reward a growing team of MXers. You’ll engage regularly with company leadership as a thought partner, helping to shape compensation programs that drive performance, engagement and satisfaction of our world-class team. You need to be a person with enough expertise to architect job catalogs and market-based pay structures, and have enough passion to keep your hands in the daily details of new hire offers, salary survey submissions, and quarterly merit reviews. Additionally, you’ll be a key player in the successful execution of our comprehensive benefits package.
Your time will be spent primarily in the compensation space, especially as you help build a mature and scalable foundation of compensation structures and programs. Although your benefits knowledge will be put to good use, your compensation expertise will be critical to your success.
What you’ll get to do…Design, implement, and enhance core compensation programs (primarily base pay programs), including market-based pay ranges, job leveling, job architecture, and salary surveys
Maintain and iterate regular compensation tasks and processes, including new hire offers, promotions, and quarterly merit reviews
Move compensation projects (like a leveling framework, job architecture, job description library) from concept to plan to practice, and then make iterative improvements
Leverage internal and external data, metrics, and dashboards to monitor effectiveness of total rewards practices and illuminate areas of improvement
Support the successful execution of annual open enrollment for benefits and renewal proceedings with brokers/carriers
Troubleshoot configuration and process errors for compensation and benefit tasks in Workday
Ensure rewards practices, reporting, and classification are compliant with state and federal regulations (like FLSA and Title VII) in all locations in which MX operates
Other compensation and benefit projects that arise as part of a rapidly growing company
Qualifications
You’ll do it using your…Demonstrated expertise and competence in compensation plan design and execution of cyclical compensation practices like merit and salary surveys
Solid background in designing and executing compensation programs
Experience in conducting 3 and more annual compensation cycles in the tech industry
Fluency in the principles, practices, and models of the compensation profession
Wicked sharp analytical skills, including excellent spreadsheet skills
Strong working knowledge of market trends and regulatory landscape in the compensation and benefits space
Ability to handle a rotating load of multiple projects, while keeping momentum on each
Capacity to deliver quality results in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
Direct experience with published salary surveys like the Radford Global Tech survey (strongly preferred)
Competence in the workings of medical, dental, vision, and insurance benefit plansboth fully insured and self-funded (strongly preferred)
Great experience in Workday (strongly preferred)
Certified expertise in compensation and/or benefits (big plus)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related course of study (big plus)
