Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a full-time Medical Records Associate II. The Medical Records Associate II Performs quality review of scanned documents; processes death certificates; coordinates microfiche projects; ensures accurate and timely completion of Release of Information requests; serves as the department payroll coordinator; processes imported documents; Performs research for enterprise Doctor Master and referring physician database; performs all the duties of a Medical Records Associate I. of insurance forms; compiles discharge summary list; coordinates microfiche projects; ensures accurate and timely completion of Release of Information requests; monitors HIM computer applications for errors; assists with correction of errors; serves as the department payroll coordinator;performs quality review of scanned documents; maintains Doctor Master and referring physician database; performs all the duties of a Medical Records Associate I.The applicant must have an Associates degree in an Health Information Management program and the equivalent of six months of full-time clinical or administrative health care experience; or Successful completion of an accredited medical office assistant education program and the equivalent of one year of full-time clinical or administrative health care experience; or High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of eighteen months of full-time clinical or administrative health care experience; or a High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of one year of full-time Roswell Park clinical/administrative health care experience.The preferred candidate will have 1 year of full-time clinical or administrative health care experience and document processing experience. The preferred candidate will have prior work experience in a Medical Records Department and electronic medical record experience. The preferred candidate will also have 1 year of release of information experience.
