The Information Technology Technician provides high quality and timely site-based technical support on a variety of technical problems and issues. This position proactively and reactively researches, troubleshoots, installs, and resolves technical problems in a timely and professional manner. This position evaluates new information systems products and services and makes recommendations to better align with the best practices of the organization. Duties and responsibilities:

Monitor the performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.

Liaise with vendors and third-party support resources as needed to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Manage time efficiently to make sure Vendor Agreements are met.

Promote and adhere to departmental and organizational information security policies, standards, and procedures. This includes making recommendations for better protocols.

Assist Operations with deploying new equipment at all locations, to define and deliver major infrastructure changes geared toward improving performance environments. Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions.

Lead and manage IT projects, including the design and development of new IT systems and services

Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess systems needs and requirements

Perform ordering, set-up, and installation of end-user desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers to include all-in-one shared print devices

Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of workstation, printer, email, phone, and some basic network issues (e.g., routers, firewalls).

Serve as the primary resource for onboarding new employees, temporary workers, and consulting resources including all office hardware, emails, and user IDs. Also, assist with the termination processing.

Provide annual assessment, tracking, and inventory of equipment. Assess and make recommendations for plans for technological growth and budgeting.

Stay up-to-date with advances in technology

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.

Solve/respond to the fulfillment center and user problems in a quick and efficient manner

Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree in IT Management, computer science or related field from an accredited institution.

A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft based workstations, laptops, printers, server environments.

Demonstrated expertise and experience writing, maintaining, or contributing to Information Security policies and/or IT Security Program.

Experience with all iterations of the following software:

Windows 10

Windows Server 2016

Office 365

CompTIA A+ Certification highly recommended

Network+ Certification highly recommended

Security+ Certification highly recommended

Microsoft certifications highly recommended

Advanced experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Office software products.
