Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for a Teller Supervisor. The successful candidate will supervise daily teller office operations and lead branch staff to provide high quality member service through efficient transaction processing and successful implementation of HVCU's Sales and Service Model. Grow branch business and meet both branch and organizational goals. Responsible for the daily operations of the teller area including ensuring that employee schedules are created to maximize member service and convenience, management of branch cash, compliance, security, internal audit requirements and branch balancing. Accommodate a flexible work schedule to meet branch needs, including evenings and weekends. Provide coverage to other branch locations as needed and act as a teller as branch volumes necessitate. Set clear expectations for teller staff to deliver high-quality service by using the HVCU Sales and Service Success Model to promote the Credit Union’s full line of products and services. Create, implement and monitor employee performance plans. Provide regular feedback to all direct reports, monitor sales/cascading goals and results, identify trends and make recommendations to ensure team goals are achieved. Ensure teller staff is knowledgeable and well trained. Evaluate, identify and provide ongoing training based on individual employee needs. Monitor performance through observations of member interactions. Interview, hire, and develop employees. Conduct regular one-on-one and meetings to communicate organizational and/or departmental changes, updates and process improvements as well as to collaborate with employees on their on-going development plans. Look for opportunity to enhance revenue, reduce expenses, create efficient processes and improve operations. Submit annual budget recommendations to Assistant Branch Manager. Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Support the Credit Union’s initiatives by demonstrating teamwork and professionalism. Responsible for regular and predictable attendance including punctuality. Associate's Degree or at least 2 years equivalent experience for each undergraduate year not completed required; undergraduate degree cannot substitute for minimum number of years of experience. Minimum 2 years of Teller or cash handling experience in a financial institution or retail environment required.
