Job Description

General Purpose:

Proactive Sales Representative is responsible for the direct selling of consumables and other aftermarket products and services. Responsible for generating new business by following lead schedule and promotions provided by management. Frequent contact with all assigned customers is the baseline.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

· Make outbound sales calls to help recapture lost spare parts customers and grow market share.

· Produces incremental sales by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting existing and new accounts, building rapport, preparing quotations, and accepting orders.

· Maintain accounts through constant communication via phone and email, verifying and entering account information, and creating repeat business.

· Develops accounts further by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining features and benefits.

· Updates and maintains CRM database with relevant account and contact information.

· Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.

· Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities.

· Maintain a solid and professional working relationship with existing and new customers.

· Provide sales and marketing feedback to appropriate personnel (i.e., competitive information to market research, etc.).

· Works with Aftermarket Manager, Proactive Sales Leader, and Customer Service Team to coordinate best practices, share information, and become engaged member of the Aftermarket Team.

· NOTE: Success will be measured by volume of outbound calls, quality of information collected from those calls, and incremental sales generated by those calls

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to quickly build rapport with strangers, and understand when to change tactics accordingly.

· Knowledge of or ability to learn about waterjet products, services, and applications.

· Ability to transfer that knowledge to customers in an easy to understand format.

· Confidence to handle rejection professionally, and not personally.

Supervisory Responsibility:

None

Equipment used:

· Standard office equipment.

Education/Experience and/or Training:

· Proven ability to make sales and close business transactions via phone.

· Working knowledge of MS Office suite applications.

· Previous telemarketing experience
