IT Security Admin

DescriptionLooking for an experienced IT Security Administrator to join our team. This position is responsible for using industry best practices to maintain company wide security with a focus on protecting data, software, and hardware assets. This position is also responsible for maintaining security policy documentation, as well as making recommendations to leadership on security best practices.Job DescriptionSecurity Strategy and Planning Develops, implements and maintains enforcement of policies, procedures and associated plans for system security administration based on industry-standard best practices. Defines disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Analyzes current security policies and provides suggestions to the Infrastructure Manager for improvement. Analyzes, reviews, and maintains adherence to an industry approved information security management system framework.Security Tactics and Mitigation Uses industry-standard tools to identify threats and works to create steps to defend against them. Facilitates vulnerability testing and penetration testing across all network segments. Proactively monitors for information or data security breaches by performing routine audits . Manages the incident response program, mitigating risks and providing root cause analysis when an incident occurs. Provides technical analysis of vulnerabilities to administrators and assists in formulation of vulnerability mitigation plan. Delivers results of vulnerability testing to development teams, aiding in the creation of remediation plans. Conducts compliance audits against relevant industry and international regulation . Makes recommendations regarding compliance maintenance to the Infrastructure Manager.Misc. Completes client security questionnaires Performs other duties as assignedEducation and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information systems, Computer Science or other related field . Professional security certifications preferred. At least 3-5 years related work experience .
