Guest Service Representative, Hotel (Kyle, TX)

The Comfort Suites, Kyle is looking for our next service superstar! If you love working in a fun, fast paced and exciting environment and enjoy taking great care of people, then this is the job for you! We are currently looking for a Guest Service Representative to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation.

Responsibilities:

Organize, confirm and process guest check-ins/ check-outs and adapt for any changes

Secure payment, verifying and adjusting billing as needed

Provide guests with room and hotel information, directions, amenities and local interests

Run daily reports, reviewing to see what needs to be communicated to the next shift’s staff

Complete cashier and closing reports, counting the bank at the end of each shift securely

Accept and record wake-up calls, delivering to the right department

Communicate any emergency, lost item or theft to proper security staff and/or authorities

Keep contingency lists in case of emergency and communicate any necessary messages

Communicate all pertinent shift information to General Manager and other desk staff

Maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed

Minimum Experience, Education, Skill & Physical Requirements:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Must be flexible in hours and days worked

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Must be able to lift 25 – 50 lbs. and carry up to 10 lbs.

Must have sound judgment and discretional skills and be able to work with little or no supervision

Must be proficient in the use of common Windows-based computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Must be able to operate basic office machines, i.e., copier, fax, printer, etc.

Must display very good organization and time management skills.

Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
