Description:We are seeking a software engineer to be part of our team to build two mission planning software packages, SitaWare and IRIS Suite, to meet our Army customer's mission objectives. If you can imagine a software application that can since into sensors on thousands of soldiers within minutes, detect friendly and enemy personnel, integrate real-time satellite imagery to make sure your battalion is entering the correct building for a reconnaissance mission, this is that application. This role is full stack with a 70% focus on UI development with a backend focused on DevOps, CI/CD. https://www.systematicinc.com/products/n/sitaware/ https://www.systematicinc.com/products/n/iris/ Responsibilities and Duties - Work as part of an agile development team programming multiple functional areas such as full-stack development, API development/integration, and automated testing. - Work with customer and engineering leadership to consult on design decisions/considerations and requirements to implement technical solutions. - Maintain awareness/familiarity of emerging technologies & coding best practices to implement within project where best applicable.Skills:Java, Javascript, angular, CI/CD, react, user interface, front endTop Skills Details:Java,Javascript,angular,CI/CD,react,user interface,front endAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Required Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field (An Associate’s degree and 2 years of relevant work experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s Degree requirement) - 4+ years development experience with Java, JavaScript, and Angular (or React) - Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environment - Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration concepts and tools - Active DoD Secret Security Clearance Preferred Experience: - Functional understanding of networking, virtualization, and core server concepts - Experience working in DoD environment - Proficient with Java build tools (Gradle, Maven, GIT, Ant, Etc) - Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, Packer, etc.) - Continuous integration tools (Jenkins or Team City) - Building automated tests for front-end and back-end modules - Experience with Wildfly or JBoss EAP - Understanding of Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) - Familiarity with Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) - Experience/functional knowledge of cloud services architecture & design decisions Best vs Average: - They are able to program full stack - Create technology full life cycle - Have modified a foreign military technology for the US Military - Worked on tactical systems (radios, uavs, etc) Disqualifers: - Backend focused Java developers - No JavaScript Test the JD: These engineers will be focused on the front end/UI piece of the mission planning technology.Experience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
