Type of Requisition: RegularClearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: NonePublic Trust/Other Required: NACLC (T3)Job Family: Software DevelopmentGDIT is seeking an HPC Application Developer for the WCOSS II program supporting NOAA. The HPC Application Developer will assist with the compiling, benchmarking, tuning, debugging, porting and performance tuning of NOAA applications (FV3, GFS, NMMB) to meet program requirements.Job duties and responsibilities include:Performance tuning of NOAA benchmarks (FV3, GFS, and NMMB) as implemented on WCOSS II systems to meet program requirements

Work with HPC systems administrators and vendor to debug HPC application issues to determine root cause

Work with customer to support porting and optimization of operational weather codes

Qualifications:15+ years of HPC application development experience

Deep understanding of numerical weather prediction codes

Expert working knowledge of C, C, and Fortran

Expert experience with testing, analysis and tuning of HPC scientific benchmark application

Direct experience supporting rigorous system acceptance requirements

BS in Meteorology or Computational Science
