Packager - 2nd Shift

Description:This company creates nuts and bolts for construction companies. They create them and then package and ship them out. This is a Union facilty.JOB DESCRIPTION:These individuals are simply packaging the nuts and bolts. They are creating the boxes, weighing the nuts and bolts, packaging the nuts and bolts, sorting them in the boxes, and labeling the boxes.This is their feeder role. Meaning almost everyone starts in this position and is promoted from there. They always have openings for this role because of promotions.JOB DUTIES:Assembling flat cardboard boxes into boxesWeighing the nuts and bolts to ensure the correct amount is packagedPackage the buts and boltsPut and sort them into the boxesLabel the boxesThe boxes are small- no heavy lifting requiredSHIFT:1st M-F 7:30AM-3:30PM2nd M-F 3:30PM-11:30PM ($.30 shift premium)3rd Sun-Thurs 11:30PM-7:30AM ($.40 shift premium)OT HOURS:1ST Shift OT: 5:00AM – 7:00AM2ND Shift OT: 12:30AM – 2:30AM3RD Shift OT: 7:30AM-10AMAVERAGE HOURS: 40 while on contract (sometimes offer OT) then they are required to be available for 50 hours when directWEEKENDS: Optional Saturdays, they wont mandate while on contract, but they will when they are direct employees.When they go direct there are shift bumps each yearSkills:Assembly, General labor, Packaging, General production, ProductionTop Skills Details:Assembly, General labor, Packaging, General production, ProductionAdditional Skills & Qualifications:MUST HAVE:6 months minimum of production OR relatable experience (such as packing, Amazon, USPS etc.)Ability to stand on feet and be stationary all day1.5-2 years average job tenureAttention to detailNICE TO HAVE:Packing/packaging experienceExperience Level:Entry LevelAbout Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
