Welder And Fabricator

Description:Positions from entry level shop work to field welding.Field weld-85% Mark up for 6 monthsShop tech- 75% for 6 monthsThe Combination Welder is to complete welding operations as assigned including joint preparation, welding process and cleaning of weld joint and spatter. Duties also include the use of cutting, forming and grinding tools to assist Fabrication Technicians as assignedEssential Functions:Set up and proficiently use SMAW, FCAW, GTAW and SAW welding equipment

Ability to read and understand ANSI weld symbols from engineering prints

Employ proper welding technique and jigs to minimize weld distortion

Operation of overhead cranes and forklifts

Maintain clean and orderly work areas

Other tasks as assigned

Being on time and maintain consistent attendance

Comply with all company safety regulations and promote a safe work environment

Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of age

Intermediate to advanced welding skills

Able to use hand tools

Intermediate math skills

Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures both written and oral

Ability to apply effective time management and self-management skills

Ability to work with a dynamic work environment with all levels of employees

Able to work on feet for a complete 10-hour shift
