Position SummaryThe position oversees the manufacturing of products as determined by production schedules, forecasts, and work orders submitted via customer requests. Oversees the yard, which includes the loading, receiving, and delivery of products. This position is one of the key management members that ensures the safety of all employees and guests.This position is based in Las Vegas, NV.Principle AccountabilitiesOversees all plant operations. Adheres to the Cardinal Rule of Conduct and holds others accountable to the policy. Delegates expectations to other managers and supervisors to communicate to their departments.

Prepares, implements, evaluates, and executes daily expectations of work orders with the responsibility of providing quality products in a timely manner without continuous overtime.

Coordinates production and work schedules to meet customer demands and ensure proper labor count to support demands. Monitors overtime hours and labor costs on a daily / weekly basis to manage labor costs.

Ensures all employees in the plant are properly trained on manufacturing process, utilization of tools, safety, production demands, quality expectations, dependability expectations, and efficiency goals. Ensures that all employees operating machinery are trained prior to utilizing any machinery (e.g., cranes, forklifts, cutters, etc.) Motivates employees in work area to achieve production goals and quality standards.

Interfaces with Human Resources and the General Manager regarding employee performance related issues and addresses each situation appropriately.

Maintains a safe, clean, and well-organized working environment with the responsibility of ensuring safety at the branch.

Works with the Corporate EHS Director to implement corporate safety initiatives. Coordinates and/or conducts safety meetings with employees to educate on a variety of topics to encourage safe practices and to make employees aware of the importance of safety.

QualificationsPosition RequirementsThe ideal candidate will possess demonstrated history of success in plant operations leadership in a precast or other heavy manufacturing environment. Other desired qualifications include:Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, engineering, or related field.

Five years’ experience leading teams in an industrial environment.

Ability to blend coaching, modeling, managing, and recruiting to effectively drive improved results, develop followers, and strengthen the operations team.

Exceptional organization skills.

Passion for results and demand for excellence.

Strong sense of accountability, adept at recognizing responsibility for team goals.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to practice active listening.

Strong interpersonal skills; able to tactfully engage others, especially those less receptive.

Demonstrated history in promoting a safe work environment, able to hold others to the highest standard.

Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications.

Optimistic, positive, team style leader.

Able to work effectively across all levels of an organization from senior management to hourly workforce.
