This individual will be responsible for management and execution of materials management activities within Fujifilm Irvine Scientific (IS) for categories to include but not limited to warehousing optimization, inventory control accuracy, process improvement, and executing to department goals.Responsibilities:Coordinate annual physical inventory for raw materials, WIP, and FGs based on inventory policies & prepare annual inventory valuations for management.

Oversee first and/or second shift raw materials & WIP inventories including ambient and cold rooms storage levels within the MM department.

Lead a team of inventory clerk and materials handlers in fulfilling production work orders with processes to support 3 shifts of manufacturing.

Hire & coach department employees & manage delegation of responsibilities.

Develop & maintain process & policy documentation for the MM department.

Generate KPI and monitor performance via producing bi-weekly to monthly dashboard report on trending of activities such as number of receipts, inventory accuracy, work order processed, receiving in system turnaround time, etc.

Maintains GMP receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational, shipping, and personnel policies and procedures.

Complies with government, local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with EH&S regulations.

Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances.

Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

Manage team of materials management staff and provide relevant training to employees.

Accomplish job results by coaching, counseling, disciplining, and appraising job results.

Manage the overall materials management activities to be in compliance with company’s policies and vision.

Set up layout and ensure efficient space utilization for current and future warehouse spaces.

Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.

Develop strong partnership with plant management, planning, transportation, quality and inventory control.

Produce reports and statistics regularly (Inventory status report, obsolete stock report, damaged inventory, etc.)

Assist QA in investigating all receiving / shipping complaints to determine root cause and to implement necessary CAPA to prevent future occurrence.

Monitor the performance of service providers of warehousing and distribution against agreed KPIs and standards. Resolve operational issues and formulate sustainable solutions for implementation.

Other duties as assigned by management

Experience/ Education:BS in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or equivalent; APICS certification desirable.

Minimum working experience in Logistics / Warehouse of 5 years.

5+ years of materials, inventory, and warehousing experience.

Prior experiences in pharma / biotech or cGMP and FDA regulated environment is preferred.

5+ years of experience using MRP and ERP systems. SAP is plus.

Proficient in Excel, Word, Projects, Visio, and Outlook.

Strong inventory management experiences and skillset.

Strong ability to collaborate with across functional groups to complete necessary materials management job function requirements.

Strong leadership experiences in managing teams for success.

Strong data, analytical, and statistical skills.
