All while understanding that together we are even better.Schedule: Full TimeShift : Sun - Tues from 8:30am - 9:00pm (36 hours/week)The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth East Orlando, a 265-bed community hospital, has been serving East Orlando residents since 1941 as an innovative local leader that fills a vital need in a fast-growing area A recent 200,000 square-foot expansion project upgraded the hospital to 265 beds, with a spacious patient tower and 80 new private rooms designed to enhance the holistic care experience Annual number of emergency cases: 89,018The role you’ll contribute:Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.The value you’ll bring to the team:Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills

Designs appropriate plans of care, including type and frequency of treatment

Implements treatment plans using appropriate modalities

Documents patient progress

Plans and assists with patient discharge from therapy services and provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs

Oversees the care provided by certified physical therapy assistants and therapy technicians, according to established regulations and practice standards

Meets productivity standard as defined by department

Handles and disposes of hazardous waste following established protocol. Consistently adheres to department's radiation dosimetry process, including meeting all badge return deadlines in a timely manner

Documents and charges patients progress accurately completely and timely

Entry level competency of physical therapy practice theory principle and applications as defined in competency department policies

Attends department meetings and education as required

May assist with teaching clinical students

QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Bachelors

PREFERRED:One year of technical experience

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:Basic Life Support - CPR Cert
