Principal Java Engineer

A fast-growing Fintech company (hiring remotely) is looking to bring on a Senior Software Engineer to their team. The role is a full-stack web development and application position, which involves implementing frontend components, assisting in backend technologies, as well as designing new systems and database schemas. This candidate will build out new features to their platform and help with the overall architecture and technical direction for the future. What You'll Work on:

• Build efficient and secure software for internal users in support of the 24x7x365 cryptocurrency exchange
• Increase cloud efficiency through AWS and our certification program
• Build and design successful new systems for the business
• Further enhance and develop existing backend and frontend systems

Engage with the engineering team and stakeholders
• Develop optimal solutions, evaluate tradeoffs, and obtain business requirements

Educate engineers with lower experience levels
Enhance code reviews, pair programming, and feature demonstrations
• Be motivated to make an impact for the company

• 7+ years of experience designing, architecting, coding secure, and scalable systems

Strong Engineering experience with Java
Proficiency with languages such as Python, TypeScript/Node.JS, etc.
• Proficiency with frontend frameworks with Vue, React or similar tools

Experience in with rational databases such as: SQL and Postgres
• Strong collaboration skills in order to both teach and learn
• Experience with one unit testing framework
• Experience with leading engineering initiatives and designing systems
