Writer / Journalist for local news site (Dutchess County area)

We are a growing local news organization focused on covering local government, schools and the community. We are seeking to expand our freelance writing crowd in/near Dutchess County to cover additional territory.

Knowledge of journalism practices desired for reporting assignments. Must have good communication skills both verbal and written. Regular beats, ongoing work available for good matches. Possible work ranges from press release rewrites to the occasional investigative piece as they arise.
