Senior Accountant

DescriptionOur client in Lake Forest is looking for a senior accountant on a project basis.Description/Comment: Assist with General Accounting functions such as financial reporting, fixed assets management, inter-company accounting, and daily expense analysis. Assist with month end closing including preparing and posting of journal entries Assist in monitoring and managing of day-to-day cost accounting function including Raw material, Work-in-process and Finished goods inventory management Review open and close work orders to analyze and correct variances and costing errors in the system. Calculate inventory reserves and perform inventory reconciliations to report the final balances to Headquarter Work with operations managers and planners to perform work orders weigh count and raw material and finished goods inventory cycle count audit Assist in the preparation of the monthly business review and Business Unit Staff meeting packages Perform a monthly testing of internal controls to maintain internal controls and to ensure that the location follows internal audit and headquarters policies and procedures. Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports as required by corporate headquarter Assist controller with monthly forecast, planning and budgeting as needed.RequirementsRequirementsSkills/Knowledge: Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Oracle and ERP, GAAP, IFRS, excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical skills and ability.
