Description
- Incorporate academic knowledge into hands-on work and willingness to learn new skills
- Communicate effectively and use logical judgments when dealing with changes and meeting program deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must have a basic understanding of work to be performed
- Interns will work 15 – 25 hours per week; summer interns will about 40 hours
- Must be willing to accept direction from, and interact professionally with supervisor and co-workers
- Must work with integrity and follow assigned tasks through to completion
- Assist with department administrative duties as necessary to learn about the work being performed, and to contribute to completion of department workload
- Familiarization with engineering specific software such as CAD desired for some positions
- Other duties as assigned
- Education/Training (both required and desired):
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Current enrollment or recent graduate of an engineering program; Electrical and Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Experience:
- 0+ years of professional experience in the required task area
- Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
