DescriptionA thriving Manufacturing company is looking for a self-starter to fill a Human Resources Assistant position within their growing team. Known for its stellar work environment, the company is looking for someone highly-skilled and motivated who will handle a variety of personnel related administrative tasks, as well as provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This long-term temporary HR Assistant position is a terrific opportunity and is based in the Hampton, Virginia area.Your responsibilities in this role
Perform various administrative duties
Administer benefits programs to include: health, dental, and vision insurance; flexible spending accounts; life insurance; retirement plans; and Family medical leave act (FMLA).
Oversee employee database records
Requirements
Capable in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
Prior experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
Adeptness in Customer Support
Demonstrated knowledge of employee relations
Deep understanding of Verify Benefits
Benefits coordination experience
Experience with Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Medical Benefits experience required
Foundational knowledge in FMLA
Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
Approachable and appropriate demeanor when interacting with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing environment
