Job Purpose: Under the supervision of the Manager/Director of Cloud Operations, the Sr. Cloud Engineer will provide support in our Cloud Infrastructure. You will be responsible for the performance reliability, and scalability of the organizations of our current Cloud infrastructure environment. Provide direction and support in the use of cloud technology to ensure system accuracy, efficiency, and control.Responsibilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or similar field preferred.
  • 6+ years’ experience with Linux operating systems (Ubuntu preferred, FreeBSD is a plus)
  • Experience with Microsoft server technologies is a plus but not required
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with Linux servers and Cloud platforms (AWS, Google, Azure).
  • Cloud certifications strongly preferred (primarily AWS, Azure in future)
  • Proven experience leading and driving cloud projects from end to end
  • Exceptional scripting language skills required (Terraform, Ansible preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (Rancher RKE, EKS, AKS) and Docker containerization
  • Knowledge of Python strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of cloud network configurations (VPC’s, transit gateways, and other services).
  • Knowledge of SSO/SAML integration and IdP federation strongly preferred (OKTA)
  • Ability to identify, recommend, drive, and "own" projects and initiatives
  • Attention to detail and quality of work
  • High level of personal accountability for the continuity and improvement of the organization’s database environments, data, and processes
  • Self-motivation with a strong work ethic
  • Superior troubleshooting skills, inquisitiveness, & the ability to preemptively resolve problems
  • Superior Linux-based application support knowledge
  • Strong system documentation skills required
  • Support operational readiness through the Cloud engineering, planning, coordination, and execution of performance and tuning analysis, cloud systems support, incident and problem resolution, software installation, and upgrades.
