Kennel Attendant (lawton)

We are seeking for a Kennel Worker that is compassionate, highly motivated individual who values exceptional client service in addition to outstanding animal care to join our team for our growing boarding, grooming, and daycare facility in Lawton Oklahoma. You should possess strong communication and teamwork skills and be able to multi-task with consistent attention to detail.

Experience working as a Kennel Worker is preferred. Must possess proper animal handling and skills as well as basic computer skills. Responsible for the care and comfort of the pets in our facility. Duties include providing food/water, exercise and administering medications. Other duties include client service, laundry and cleaning.

Applicants must have availability for flexible full time scheduling. Must have own car and be available to work weekends and holidays.

Job Description:

General Cleaning of Kennels, Outside Yard,

Monitoring group play & following safety protocol.

Knowledge of Dog Breeds

Able to remember dog’s names & traits

Follow all policy and procedures for all areas.

Assist other employees to create a helpful team environment

Bathing dogs if needed

Job Qualifications:

MUST LOVE DOGS!

Kennel or Veterinary Experience

Additional information:

The job requires bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 pounds, as necessary) and standing for long periods of time. The job requires Kennel Assistant spending time with our clientele to get to know of the pet's needs and client's desires on how to take care their pet. The work environment may be noisy and wet. Kennel Assistant must be tolerant and willing to deal with all types of pets.

Job Type: Part-time to Full-time

Salary: $7.25 to $9.00 /hour
