Expertise and Functions
  • Prepare and maintain monthly status reports, action plans, integrated master schedules, and other project management documents
  • Develop and track project plans and progress in Microsoft Office Project
  • Learn, apply and correlate knowledge across disciplines (engineering, logistics, and financial management) to achieve project execution in accordance with assigned cost, schedule & performance requirements
  • Coordinate tasking and status reporting with project leads and team personnel
  • Prepare and conduct informational and status briefing with customer and team
  • Monitor project for risks and issues and establish appropriate action plans for mitigation and resolution
  • Perform project/technical management for assigned projects
  • Review reports and deliverables prepared by project leads and team personnel and ensure customer objectives and timeliness of deliverables are satisfied
  • Monitor and communicate cost, schedule, and performance with management
  • Assist in the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product/technical requirements into solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints; identify associated risks
  • Provide higher management with status and decision information on project issues
  • Ensure contractual needs/concerns are addressed
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all report/deliverables
  • Participate in company program reviews
  • Participate in development of new business and business proposals
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Qualifications
  • Education/Training (both required and desired):
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or other related field required
    • Department of Defense Acquisition certifications desired
    • Familiarity with Naval Aviation programs desired
    • PMP certification preferred
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of Acquisition Management experience with Government or Industry, at least 3 years of which must be in a Defense acquisition program as either a program or project manager
  • Security:
    • Must be a US citizen
    • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
    • Active security clearance at level Secret or higher preferred
