(MEC) is a subsidiary of the Kiewit Corporation.  Since our founding in 1928 in Boston, Massachusetts, Mass. Electric Construction’s philosophy has been to pursue electrical projects that require a higher level of technical and logistical skill.  MEC has organized strategically to actively participate and capture projects in the growing industrial market.  We intend to effectively compete and win in traditional and alternate delivery procurements and position ourselves for a sustainable future. We self-perform the majority of our work and are looking for people committed to the industrial construction industry.Location This position is based out of La Verne, CA. This is a shared service environment in a professional office setting.Responsibilities Develop and coordinate responses to statement of qualifications (SOQs), request for qualifications (RFQs), request for proposals (RFPs), and various marketing collateral Collaborate with executives, engineers, construction managers, legal, writers, designers, and others to secure information for various writing assignments Create responsibility/compliance matrix defining roles, deadlines, and assignments Support proposal development meetings including kickoff, milestone reviews, and lessons learned Outline, write, edit and organize proposal documents, while also making timely edits and revisions to documents after reviews Assist in total production and delivery of proposals Develop and maintain marketing database, best practices and templates Creation of marketing collateral for the district (e.g., newsletters, brochures, award submittals, project pages, resumes etc.) External and internal event planning, setup and coordination Other marketing and business development responsibilities as assignedQualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications, or related field preferred 2-4 years of proposal or related experience in the A/E/C industry Documented experience with technical writing for proposals Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Intermediate knowledge of Adobe InDesign Layout and graphic design experience preferred Experience in Government contracting is an asset Excellent writing, editing, prooing, and formatting skills High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Self-motivated, and able to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks Team-oriented, and able to work well with other professionals from various backgrounds Must be flexible to accommodate a deadline driven environment Ability to problem solve and think criticallyWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
